The Newsbabes Bash for Breast Cancer is the annual Washington DC event that raises awareness and funds for breast cancer causes. It began in 2009 when a group of good friends in the TV news industry decided to get together for one cause. The pink cocktail draws an amazing crowd of breast cancer survivors, advocates and political and media power players.
Our 2012 cause is the George Washington University Mammovan, the mobile healthcare unit that brings free mammography screenings to underserved women throughout the Washington area. Every $3500 we raise will keep the Mammovan on the road for another day.
We hope to see you on June 19 at The Howard Theatre for Newsbabes 2012… because together we know we can make an impact!
